GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA — Andrew Winkler is proud to announce the official launch of the first-of-its-kind podcast: “Driven Too Far: The Truth About Trucking”
The podcast, Driven Too Far: The Truth about Trucking is hosted by the company’s General Manager and is available on Apple, Spotify, and other listening platforms. In this sneak peek episode, Andrew Winkler talks about how he entered his career in transportation as a driver and what it’s like to run a flatbed transportation company today. He also shares some stories from his time driving professionally.
Andrew has been in the trucking industry for more than 25 years, and he has taken two different companies to the Best Fleets To Drive For competition–making him one of only two trucking executives in the United States and Canada to do so. He’ll share more stories from his time driving professionally in future episodes of this groundbreaking podcast series.
The podcast will also use SFX (special effects) and dimensional sound/audio. While listening, Andrew’s experiences will be brought to life through layers of audio production and other techniques designed to make you feel like you’re there with him on the road.
Andrew started as a driver in the mid-90s and later transferred to dispatch which kicked off his career as a transportation leader. As a driver, he made numerous trips all over the Eastern side of the United States, pulling a reefer through congested cities on the busiest weekends of the year. In his time as a dispatcher, he developed love and appreciation for the challenge of putting the pieces of each day together.
His experience has given him insight into some of the challenges drivers face today. With the launch of this podcast, he hopes to share his knowledge and help drivers overcome those challenges, and make the industry enjoyable for everyone.
