During the holiday season, Chief Carriers provides necessities and gift items to individuals experiencing extraordinary needs through the Heartland United Way – Adopt a Family program.

Individuals who need holiday assistance must get a referral. The Heartland United Way works closely with local school social workers and the United Way community partners to identify families in need.

Adopt A Family

The Adopt a Family program allows businesses like Chief Carriers, community members, and organizations to provide local families with food, necessary items, and gifts during the holidays. Families accepted into this program are experiencing extraordinary needs due to job loss, health issues, a house fire, or other major circumstances.

This is the third year Chief Carriers has participated in this extraordinary community program. The Chief Carriers team donated gifts anonymously to two assigned families with single mothers and young children.

Chief Carriers knows that making a difference in the lives of those affected by difficult circumstances is something we all can take part in – no matter how big or small our contribution may be! We are grateful for the opportunity to make the holiday season brighter for two special families.

One of the amazing things about being part of this program is that it enables us to pool our efforts to impact local families in a way we could not as individuals. ~ Andrew Winkler, General Manager

We look forward to continuing this charitable tradition in the years to come! Thank you, Heartland United Way, for bringing us all together to help those who need it most. Together, we are making a positive impact in the Grand Island Community community!

Giving back to the community is at the heart of Chief Carriers, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help and bless two families this holiday season
