CHIEF CARRIERS EARNS TOP HONORS AT TRUCKLOAD 2022

Chief Carriers called to the stage twice during the Truckload 2022 demonstrating exceptional programs, high satisfaction, solid results, and a commitment to safety.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada:

Truckload 2022: Las Vegas at the Wynn Las Vegas, Chief Carriers earned TOP Carriers earns Top 20 honors in the 2022 Best Fleets to Drive For workplace survey.

The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) and Carriers Edge presented their annual awards in front of over 1,500 attendees at this year’s Truckload 2022 conference.

Now in its 14th year, Best Fleets to Drive For, is an annual survey and contest that recognizes the North American for-hire trucking companies who provide the best workplace experience for their drivers.

To be considered fleets must be nominated by a company driver or independent contractor working with them, after which they are evaluated across a broad range of categories reflecting current best practices in human resources.

The Top 20 finishers are identified as Best Fleets to Drive For and then categorized according to size. The highest scoring fleet in each category is named the overall winner.

Chief Carriers have been named to the Best Fleets Top 20 for the second year in a row. General Manager, Andrew Winkler, was thrilled to accept the distinguished honor on behalf of the company. “The team at Chief Carriers has done an amazing job over the last few years building on their own success in creating a people-first culture within the organization.  Chief is a place where drivers can expect the best equipment, a safe environment to operate in and programs that create a career path for long-term success.” Winkler said.

Chief Carriers with 65 drivers, already well-known for its extensive efforts to improve the workplace experience. It also stood out for its commitment to safety.

TCAS 46th Annual Fleet Safety Awards honored trucking companies who have demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to safety.  Chief Carriers won 3rd place in Division 2 (5-14.99 million miles). “I feel so fortunate to represent such a great group of people that are focused on safety and creating exceptional work experience for our professional drivers.” Said, Andrew Winkler.

The Best Fleets to Drive For survey and contest is open to any for-hire fleet operating 10 or more trucks, regardless of TCA membership status. Nominated fleets are evaluated in areas such as driver compensation, pension and benefits, professional development, driver and community support, and safety record.

The contest accepts nominations from Labor Day to Halloween each year and reveals its Top 20 Best Fleets to Drive For winners each January. The highest scoring fleet in each category is named an Overall Winner during TCA’s Annual Convention.
